In a complex economic and geopolitical scenario, characterized by international instability, rising energy and supply costs and increasing competitive pressure on European markets, Silmar Group closed 2025 with positive results in line with expectations, confirming the solidity of its business model and its ability to face a constantly evolving market.
The Group recorded an aggregate revenue of 1,466,669,000 euros and invested more than 69 million euros, continuing its path of industrial growth. Energy efficiency and self-production, safety, quality, carbon footprint reduction and product and process innovation remain at the heart of the strategy, together with the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence and the "Dual Transition", which combines the green and digital transition.
The ESG journey started over fifteen years ago also continued throughout the year. The Group's Italian companies covered 54% of their electricity needs with renewable sources, with approximately 15,000 MWh generated by photovoltaics. Also considering energy efficiency interventions, the share of energy demand covered by renewable sources and sustainable solutions rises to 70%, helping to avoid the emission of 29,677 tons of CO₂. People also remained a key priority, during the year 71,399 hours of training were provided, with a constant commitment to safety and prevention issues, complemented by educational, sporting, cultural and social initiatives in support of local communities. The Group’s governance continues to be founded on ethics, integrity and transparency, through 231 Models, Codes of Ethics and whistleblowing systems.
